Feature

Features of the reduction bottle. The mysterious bottle, commonly known as KANGEN, allows you to simply fill it with tea you have just bought, and it becomes mellow and tasty to the palate. It is a mysterious bottle that makes drinks easier to drink on its own, so if you continue to drink a little bit every day, before you know it, your fatigue will be gone. The Kangen Bottle is a special pot that combines ceramic with chemical technology. When tea is put in this pot and left at room temperature, the texture of the tea will change. After adding about 5 g of your favorite tea leaves and 800 cc or less of warm water, leave it in a sunny place. Wait for a few hours, and you will see a noticeable hydrogen reaction in the tea that has been watered down inside. The tea itself is safe to drink as it is. It will taste a little mellower and easier to drink.

A mysterious reduction bottle (officially called "reduction low-potential hydrogen tea production bottle," or "reduction bottle") was born, in which you can simply fill it with tea you have just bought, and it becomes mellow and tasty on the tongue.

The drink becomes easier to take on its own, so if you continue to drink a little bit every day, before you know it, you feel like you are getting rid of fatigue, which is a strange thing.

The reduction bottle is a special pot that combines ceramic with chemical technology. When tea is put in this bottle and left at room temperature, the texture of the tea changes.

In this reduction bottle, tea leaves and warm water are poured into a ceramic pot and left to stand slowly for several hours, and the polyphenols extracted from the tea leaves are transformed to create hydrogen as well as low-potency tea. The tea is then drunk slowly over time, especially after meals, to heal a tired body from the inside out. No power source or chemicals are used to generate hydrogen. You can enjoy this tea anytime, anywhere. The mellow texture and natural taste of the tea will make you like your regular tea even more.

Hou to Use

After adding about 5 g of your favorite tea leaves and 800 cc or less of warm water, leave it in a sunny place. Wait a few hours, and you will see a noticeable hydrogen reaction in the tea that has been watered down inside. The tea itself is safe to drink as it is. It will taste a little mellower and easier to drink.

It is highly recommended for those who want to start a hydrogen lifestyle easily.

What's happening inside the reduction bottle.

It is reduced from the polyphenols of the material placed inside.

Each tea leaf or ingredient is actually a collection of substances. Each substance is constantly moving and working individually, and the mechanism by which they move individually is vibration (electrical signals). Inside the reduction bottle, static electricity is used to extract ions and hydrogen from each of these substances and dissolve them into the tea.

[Trivia] About oxidation-reduction potential, which measures the performance of reduction bottles.

The criterion for determining whether hydrogen is being produced in the reduction bottle is determined by a numerical value called "oxidation-reduction potential.

Oxidation-reduction potential is an indicator of whether a substance makes other substances more oxidizable or more reducible. A large positive value indicates a strong oxidation potential, while a large negative value indicates a strong reduction potential.

Reduction bottle generation makes it difficult to lose hydrogen and negative ions.

Tea that continues to be placed in the reduction bottle is made based on a completely different theory than hydrogen water produced by electrolysis, and the hydrogen and negative ions remain stable. The graph shows that even if you continue to put commercial Oi-cha in the bottle for several hours, it continues to maintain a constant amount of hydrogen and negative ions, as shown in the graph*1 below.

What a surprise! The average amount of dissolved hydrogen is 800~1200 ppb, and the oxidation-reduction potential is -400~-600 mv. The experimental material is ITO EN O-i Ocha, water temperature 23 degrees, air temperature 22 degrees, and Ph 5.2~5.4.

However, it cannot be stored indefinitely. The closer the water temperature is to 35°C, the easier it is to produce hydrogen (about 5 hours), but it gradually leaves the water over time. The taste of the tea may also change. Please avoid hydrogen saturation as much as possible by placing the tea in a refrigerator, etc., and drink it regularly.

Maintain hydrogen content for a longer period of time

The tea (low-potency tea) made in this reduction bottle also contains hydrogen (more acidic), but as you keep adding it, hydrogen will continue to be produced. However, hydrogen is a very small substance, so it disperses into the air. When the amount of hydrogen that cannot be dissolved in the tea is too large, the production of hydrogen will gradually weaken, and in turn, the hydrogen will be lost from the tea, and the tea will return to its original state, including the taste. The best way to keep the tea at a low potential as much as possible is to keep it in a place where the outside temperature is below 9 degrees Celsius. If you put the bottle directly into the refrigerator, the low-potential effect of the tea will be lost, so you should transfer the tea inside to another container before putting it in the refrigerator.

How to care for it.

The inside of the reduction bottle should be cleaned with water or diluted dish-washing detergent using a commercially available sponge brush for cleaning long, narrow bottles, etc., and should always be kept clean for use. If the tea becomes stale, the inside of the reduction bottle is dirty and should be scrubbed lightly with a bottle-washing brush once or twice a week.

[Trivia] Attraction of Hydrogen

Hydrogen has the property of attaching to the bad form of active oxygen, which is considered a source of fatigue in the body. Hydrogen is a very small gas and can pass through many things. When hydrogen and reactive oxygen species combine throughout the body, they are transformed (reduced) to water, which is then discharged from the body in the form of sweat and urine. This reducing action is very useful in relieving fatigue and reducing oxidation.

In particular, drinking low-potency tea in this reduction bottle after a meal allows you to take advantage of the properties of hydrogen even more.

Function of Hydrogen

Hydrogen inhibits unwanted active oxygen species (such as hydroxyl radicals) generated in the body.

Let's try it!

Change what you put inside to whatever you want.

For example, in the video below, we recorded the old and discolored meat itself packed in a plastic bag and submerged it in a (low-potential) tea made from a reduction bottle and left it for several hours.

For example, in the video at right, we recorded the old and discolored meat itself packed in a plastic bag and submerged it in a (low-potential) tea made from a reduction bottle and left it for several hours.

If you continue to add tea to the reduction bottle, for example, ginger leaves or fruit peels, you will get a different drinking experience. We encourage you to try adding your favorite ingredients to the reduction bottle and see what kind of taste you get.

Things to keep in mind when making reduced tea in a reduced bottle.

  • Avoid pouring boiling water. It may cause cracks in the body baked at low temperatures.
  • Tea made by direct boiling has damaged vitamins due to the high heat. The trick is to put the tea leaves in the bottle itself and make it from warm water.
  • Hydrogen production function is reduced in environments below 20 degrees Celsius. It cannot be made in refrigerators or cold places.
  • If the bottle is left in its original state for an extended period of time (more than one month), it may have lost its ability to produce. If this is the case, continue to make tea for 24 hours to restore it.
  • Leaving tea in the bottle for an extended period of time (approximately 24 hours or more) may alter the tea. Remove it from the bottle after half a day.
  • Only the first time, let the tea stand for 24 hours with the tea in it. For the first time the tea is made, throw it away.
  • If the tea becomes stale, the inside of the reduction bottle is dirty and should be scrubbed lightly with a bottle-washing brush once or twice a week.

Precautions for handling and storing reduction bottles.

  • (Important)When transferring the reduced drink to another container, please use glass, plastic bottles, fluorine-coated water bottles, etc., and avoid using metal or stainless steel storage containers. The containers may deteriorate and the hydrogen in the tea may be lost easily.
  • Do not wash the reduction bottle with strong detergent or bleach. The ingredients will soak into the ceramic, just like an earthenware pot. Since the surface is coated, a gentle scrubbing with water and a sponge is all that is needed to clean it.
  • Does not react with water and beverages containing alcohol.
  • Room temperatures below 20°C (68°F) will slow the response. In winter, place the product in the sun as much as possible. However, please do not heat the product directly with a heater.
  • If you do not want to drink lukewarm tea in the summer, do not refrigerate the reduction bottle itself, but transfer it to another container before refrigerating it.
  • If you want to drink warm tea, please pour hot water or hot tea over the tea instead of directly heating the tea made in the reduction bottle.
  • Do not put boiled tea in the container. (It will slow down the reaction).
  • If white lint-like material appears, strain it through a tea strainer.
  • If the reduction bottle has not been used for an extended period of time beyond one month, it will temporarily lose its functionality. When making a new one, please leave the bottle with the teapot continuously filled for 24 hours, as you did the first time. The function will gradually return.
  • Do not place the product in an air conditioner or in direct contact with the wind for a long period of time.
  • Close the cap properly after use.
  • Storing in direct sunlight or extremely high temperatures may cause the contents to deteriorate.
  • Do not reuse the product after it has been opened and left for an extended period of time.
  • Keep out of reach of infants and children.

Frequently Asked Questions

QuestionAnswer
When purchasing a product, why do you continue to make the tea for only the first time for a longer period of time (approx. 24 hours)? This is because the reduction bottle is fired at high heat, so the reduction bottle itself does not contain water, making it difficult to produce hydrogen. To prepare the reduction bottle for use, please fill it with tea for at least 24 hours and discard the tea before starting to use it.
Is it safe to wash the inside of the reduction bottle with detergent? There is no problem when cleaning with a neutral detergent, but please rinse as quickly as possible and do not soak the potteries. Do not soak the ceramic ware. The detergent may soak into the inside of the ware.
What kind of tea is most useful to use? Any kind of tea can be used, but we recommend green tea because it is less likely to alter the taste. However, please be careful about the production method and expiration date. For example, tea that has been heated or roasted at high heat first or old tea leaves may have broken polyphenols, and there are examples of no hydrogen being produced even if you put the tea into a reducing bottle and wait. There are also reported cases of commercial rooibos tea not producing hydrogen, so please use something else if possible.
How much can you lower the potential? -It drops to about 600mV.
How long does it take for the tea to reach its maximum potential? Although 10 hours is ideal, depending on the outside temperature, please be assured that hydrogen is produced even in 5~6 hours. Since it is better to continue daily, it would be sufficient if you remember that you can make reduced hydrogen tea twice a day during your daily activities, without worrying about the time in detail.
I heard that if tea made from reduced bottles is mixed with other teas, the potential of that tea will be greatly reduced. The results show that the reducing power of hydrogen tea made in a reduction bottle is easily transferred to the same type of tea.
I want to drink it with hot tea, what will happen to the hydrogen? Even after the reduced tea is made, if it is heated, the hydrogen in the tea will quickly dissipate. For those who do not like cold tea, we recommend adding warm water to the tea before drinking.
What should I do if I don't want to cook for a while? Lightly clean the container and dry the inside thoroughly before storing it.
If I add water, does it become hydrogen water? Pouring only water into the reduction bottle will not cause a chemical reaction. Please add tea leaves or already made tea itself.
If I leave the tea in the reduction bottle for a while, crumbly stuff appears inside, is that ok? This is a natural phenomenon that occurs when reduced tea is left in the reduction bottle for an extended period of time. The hydrogen is too concentrated and has been dispersed to a great extent. There is nothing wrong with the tea itself, but please remove it using a tea strainer.
Can I drink it cold? Do not put the reduction bottle directly into the refrigerator. If the ceramic is chilled, it will not be able to produce hydrogen. Transfer the resulting reduced tea to another container and refrigerate it.
